Community Guidelines
Welcome to the table! #dine exists to make in-person connection effortless. To ensure every dining experience is respectful, enjoyable, and smooth, we ask all members (Hosts and Guests) to follow these core principles.
1. The #dine SpiritWe believe in the power of meaningful, in-person conversation.
Be Present: We encourage members to keep phones away while at the table. The best connections happen when everyone is fully engaged.
Be Inclusive: Whether you are dining with "People You Know" or "New People," treat everyone with curiosity and kindness. We are a community of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Because #dine handles real-world reservations, your RSVP is a serious commitment.
Punctuality is Priority: Restaurants hold tables for a limited time. Aim to arrive 5 minutes early. Arriving late affects the flow of the meal for everyone else.
No-Show Policy: Failing to show up without notice is the biggest disruption to our community. Frequent no-shows or late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may result in account suspension or a "No-Show Fee" to protect our restaurant partners.
Update Early: If your plans change, use the #dine link to update your status immediately.
Be You: Use your real name and an accurate photo (if requested). Trust is the foundation of our community.
No Hidden Agendas: #dine is for social connection. Do not use dining experiences to pitch business opportunities, sell products, or recruit for other organizations.
Safe Space: We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior. This applies to both your digital interactions and your conduct at the restaurant.
Respect the Venue: Remember that you are a guest of the restaurant. Follow their house rules and treat the staff with the same respect you show your fellow diners.
Bill Splitting: Unless otherwise specified by the host, expect to pay for your own portion of the meal. Be mindful and fair when the bill arrives.
Photo Etiquette: Always ask for permission before taking a photo that includes other diners. Some members prefer to keep their dining experiences private.
Data Privacy: Never share the personal contact information (phone numbers or names) of people you meet through #dine without their explicit consent.
We take these guidelines seriously to protect the quality of the #dine experience.
Reporting: If a member violates these guidelines during a dinner, please report it to us via hello@hashtagdine.com.
Consequences: Violations may lead to a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the #dine community.
