This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you use our website and social dining services. 2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, phone number, and city. Age information collected under earlier versions of the service may remain stored.
Origin & Time in the City: We collect where you’re from and how long you’ve been in the city, which may be shown to the other #dine guests you’re seated with.
Joining & Attendance: When you reserve a seat, we record your reservation and attendance.
Communication Data: We store records of notifications sent via WhatsApp and SMS, including delivery status.
IP Address & Location: When you visit our site, we collect your IP address and use a third-party geolocation service to estimate your country, so we can show pricing in your local currency.
Feedback & Attendance: After a dinner, we may collect feedback you choose to share (such as ratings and comments) and whether you attended, to improve our service.
3. How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery: To match you to a seat and manage your attendance, and to send venue updates and reminders.
Reservations: To reserve seats at partner venues on your behalf.
Membership Management: To process Regular membership subscriptions (via Stripe) and provide access to membership features.
Communication: We use your phone number as the primary channel for service updates via WhatsApp (with SMS as a fallback).
4. Sharing of Information
With Other Users: We do not share your phone number or private contact details with other diners. Other guests will only see the name you provide.
With Venues: We may share your name and group size with restaurants to secure reservations.
Service Providers: We share data with third-party providers only as necessary to perform their functions, including Twilio (WhatsApp and SMS messaging), Stripe (membership payments), and Amazon Web Services, including SES (email delivery and hosting). Venue pages also contain links to third-party map and ride services (such as Google Maps, Waze, and Uber), which operate under their own privacy policies.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies We use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API, to understand how our site is used and to measure and improve our advertising. These tools may share certain information (such as your device, browser, actions on our site, and IP address) with Meta. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
6. Data Security We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or mobile network is 100% secure.
